Annual Day of Giving
The IndyBar Foundation’s Day of Giving is more than a 24-hour giving challenge: it’s our chance to come together to demonstrate the important impact that lawyers and legal professionals make in our city every day. Your generosity helps law students reach their career goals, makes crucial legal help available for our neighbors, and strengthens our profession and our community.
Rally your friends and colleagues and help us make strides toward improving our community! Plan to make your gift to the IndyBar Foundation on October 1! Use the big, gold DONATE TODAY button in the top corner of this screen to contribute!
Please plan to help us reach our Day of Giving fundraising goal so that we can continue to support:
Our Community—In 2022, more than 4,000 neighbors turned to legal advice and pro bono services delivered through IndyBar Foundation-funded programs like:
The Virtual Help Desk, which connects individuals seeking legal assistance with free guidance every weekday via a live online chat.
Ask a Lawyer and Legal Line, which provides additional opportunities for free legal assistance.
Free Wills Clinics and the Hospice Program, which provide peace of mind for vulnerable neighbors through no-cost estate planning.
Our Profession—We're granting nearly $150,000 in total grants in 2024 bringing our 10 year total to nearly $1.5 million making possible innovative services, technology and events to benefit and educate central Indiana lawyers and legal professionals, including:
Academic and educational scholarships for law students to defray the cost of tuition and bar prep.
Scholarships for practicing attorneys to career-building programs like the Bench Bar Conference.
Investment in technology to facilitate professional development and legal education at IndyBarHQ.
Our Future—We are constantly looking for ways to invest in the future of local lawyers and the central Indiana community, with $35,000 granted for the Community Empowerment Fund each year. We invest in the future through:
The Community Empowerment Fund Grant, which provides funding for essential programs that further the IndyBar Foundation's mission and improve our community.
Hands-on education and invaluable networking for law students through attorney shadowing opportunities at foundation-funded pro bono programs.
