ALL RISE

Stand-up Women in Hoosier History

IndyBar’s Women and the Law Division Past Chair, Andrea Ciobanu, had an idea to find a way to inspire the future women leaders Indiana while honoring those women who blazed the trail. The executive committee decided to create coloring book about many of the inspirational women from Indiana. The project took three years, three different freelance artists, and lots of volunteer hours; but in late 2024, the book launched. It was a roaring success. Hoosiers far and wide learned of the efforts and wanted to support the project by offering the book in their community spaces, to scout troops, in free libraries, and more.

The coloring book features historical women from the legal community and beyond, including Antionette Dakin Leach, Eva Kor, Sarah Evans Barker, Loretta H. Rush, Nancy H. Vadik, Cynthia Ayers, and More. Click here for a full list of included women.

The art for the coloring book was designed by Natalie Marchal, founder of Komorebi Studies LLC and daughter of Hon. Helen Marchal.
